# Framer

> Framer is an AI website builder for designers and teams. Generate editable pages on a visual canvas, then publish with CMS, hosting, SEO, localization, and analytics — without a traditional engineering handoff.

Framer is a no-code visual website builder with a freeform canvas, not a design file (use Figma for that) and not an app-codegen tool (use Lovable, v0, or Claude Code for that). AI and agent edits stay on the canvas and remain editable. Sites are server-rendered HTML with JSON-LD, sitemaps, robots.txt, and well-known files.
