Director of Finance

We’re looking for an experienced leader to help structure, spearhead, and manage the finance and accounting team at Framer.

Overview

In this role, you’ll provide financial perspective and accountability to the entire company as well as the board of directors. Ideal candidates will be comfortable setting up new finance processes, managing statutory audits, and growing a finance team while supporting a business that is expanding globally.

What you’ll do

  • Hire, build, and scale a team that can execute systematically as we grow
  • Lead the development of key financial metrics, operating cadence, and key FP & A activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes including the journal entries and account and billing system reconciliations
  • Apply business savvy and financial insights to assist with decision-making in product decisions and pricing strategy
  • Assist with due diligence, investor reporting, and quarterly earnings preparation
  • Partner with legal and sales teams to interpret complex or unique contract provisions or new revenue initiatives
  • Research and document accounting issues and recommend solutions for complex transactions as needed
  • Document and/or update standard policies and procedures as needed

Your background

  • Background in finance and/or accounting with 6-8 years of startup experience
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, analysis, and financial reporting
  • Strong technical knowledge of revenue recognition in SAAS companies
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaborative working relationships across teams
  • Forward-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving mindset
  • Must have international experience and knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experienced manager, but comfortable being hands-on
  • Strong executive leadership skills with experience partnering at the board, investor, and executive management levels
