Folioland

Folioland is a portfolio template for designers, illustrators and other creatives, laid out as an island to explore. The home page is an illustrated world map with clickable regions, and each region leads to a group of projects.

Case studies are presented as dungeons to enter, your tools are an inventory, and awards pop out of treasure chests as you scroll. The home page also has a pinned regions map, a skills sheet, a drawn process trail, a team rail, a newsletter sign-up and a contact prompt. A hidden guide page explains how to swap the map image and move the pins.

It includes 10 pages: Home, Dungeons, Dungeon (a case study), Inventory, About, Log, Log entry, Contact, Guide (hidden) and 404, each with desktop, tablet and phone layouts. The CMS holds Dungeons (8), Regions (5), Achievements (6), Tools (18), Party (6) and Log (6).

Folioland is free. The designer and projects in the demo are fictional, and the map and illustrations are original.
