Update to Framer’s Pricing Plans

We’re making Framer better for everyone. Whether you need a simple personal website or run a complex business with millions of monthly visitors, our website builder is here to help. Today, we’re updating our pricing to better serve all our customers.

Here’s what’s changing:

  • We are making personal plans more powerful

  • We are getting rid of workspace plans

  • We are adding business plans for Startups and Scaleups

  • We are making localization cheaper for personal use

Increased limits for personal plans

We have increased several limits for the Mini, Basic, and Pro plans, making them even more generous for people building personal sites with Framer.

  • We’ve increased the CMS collection limit on Basic plans from 1 to 2 collections

  • We’ve made the Cookie Banner available for free on all plans

  • We’ve increased the File Upload Size limit on Basic sites from 5MB to 10MB

  • We’ve increased the bandwidth limits across all personal site plans

Removing workspace plans

We are removing the requirement to select a workspace plan when upgrading your site. We’ve heard your feedback that workspace plans were confusing, especially for those who weren’t using the collaboration features. Teams with multiple editors will now be billed based on the site plan you have. The Workspace owner remains free.

Introducing the Startup and Scaleup plan

Many Framer customers fall between the Pro Site plan and the Enterprise plan. These customers often run successful businesses with growing traffic but aren’t quite ready for an Enterprise plan. To bridge this gap, we are introducing the Startup and Scaleup plans, which offer higher usage limits such as increased bandwidth and form entries. These plans also include access to Project Permissions and Drafts, previously part of the Pro Workspace plan. Additionally, Startup and Scaleup plans allow for more editors and locales than personal plans, making them the ideal option for growing businesses not yet ready for an Enterprise plan.

Updated localization plans with unlimited translations

Lastly, we are improving our localization offering by removing the word limit on all paid plans and introducing a more affordable option for personal sites. You can now add up to one locale for $15 per month (billed yearly) on a Mini, Basic, or Pro plan, and up to five locales for $40 per locale per month (billed yearly) on a Startup or Scaleup plan.

Tax, compliance and local currencies

We will begin applying VAT/sales tax to invoices in accordance with local tax regulations around the world as we hit certain thresholds. This update is necessary to ensure we continue delivering Framer all over the world while complying with applicable regulations. To ensure tax accuracy on your Framer subscriptions, your billing address needs to be up to date.

For a long time, we’ve maintained consistent prices across different currencies, even as inflation and currency values shifted. However, to remain compliant with local regulations and keep our business sustainable, we now need to make adjustments to our pricing in certain regions.

These changes will allow us to continue providing you with the quality and support you expect while meeting regional regulatory requirements. We understand that pricing changes can raise questions, and we’re here to help if you need more information. Any running subscriptions will remain at the original rate you signed up for, while new subscriptions will be at the new rates.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay more if I already have a subscription?

No, these changes will give you more without increasing your cost.  New subscriptions will be billed at the updated pricing.

What if we’re currently on a Pro Workspace plan with a Mini, Basic, or Pro site plan?

You will keep access to Drafts and Project Permissions.

What if there are more editors in my workspace than my plan allows?

You can keep the current number of editors in your workspace without an increase in your bill. However, if you want to add more editors, we will ask you to upgrade to a plan that supports the required number of editors.

What determines the cost and limits for editors in my workspace now that the Workspace plans are gone?

You can have multiple plans in a workspace, and the price and limits for editors are determined by the highest-tier plan in your workspace. For example, if you have both a Startup and a Pro plan in your workspace, you will be billed $40 per additional editor per month (billed yearly), and you can have up to 6 editors in your workspace, including the owner.

What happens to my current Pro Locale subscription?

In the coming weeks, we will bundle all locale subscriptions with their respective project subscriptions. The locale subscriptions will be added to the current billing cycle of the site subscription. If you are on any of the personal plans, the cost for your locales will decrease to reflect the new pricing. After this change, locales will be billed automatically when you add or remove them.

We hope you enjoy these updates and that they help make your sites even more successful. To get a complete overview, compare all our plans on our updated Pricing page.
