Why is a template’s remix count higher than its sales?
Seeing a higher remix count than sales can be surprising, but in the Framer Marketplace, every duplicate of your template counts as a remix—even if it wasn’t a paid purchase.
Typically, remix numbers come from three key sources:
Marketplace remixes
People who purchase your template often duplicate it to explore design variations or adapt it for new projects. Each copy they create adds to the remix total.
Framer team remixes
The Framer review team duplicates templates for quality checks before approval or updates. These internal copies also contribute to the remix count, even though no sale occurred.
Multiple duplicates
Some users duplicate their own project multiple times to test new ideas or preserve previous versions. Each new copy further increases the remix tally.
Because of these factors, seeing more remixes than sales is completely normal. It doesn’t indicate missing purchases—just different types of duplications being tracked under the same count.
